A day after heavy rains and flooding, life in Mumbai limped back to normal on Saturday, with train services restored on all three suburban lines.Ignoring drizzles and an advisory to stay indoors, men and women streamed to suburban stations around the city to head for their offices and other places of work which remained shut on Friday because of the unusually heavy downpour.
A statement issued by the Central and Western Railway sections said all suburban services were running according to the normal schedule, including Harbour line and Trans-Harbour line of the Central Railway. However, the Maharashtra government directed all schools and colleges in the city and neighbouring Thane district to stay closed on Saturday. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted intermittent rain or showers and isolated spells of heavy to very heavy rainfall over the weekend.VK Rajeev, IMD director (western region), said, “Like Friday, Mumbai, the Konkan and Goa are expected to receive heavy rainfall over the weekend.”

Mirpur: First class debut at the age of 18, international debut a year later at 19, Mustafizur Rahman's story is similar to many recent stars from the subcontinent who come from the undistinguished areas far away from the big cities and make it big in the international arena.Mustafizur - a left-arm fast bowler - became a national hero in Bangladesh's stunning victory over India at the Sher-e-Bangla Stadium here on Thursday. The rookie pacer claimed a five-wicket haul on debut to hand Bangladesh a 79-run win against India for only the fourth time in 30 one-day internationals and help his side take a big step towards qualifying for the 2017 Champions Trophy.ALSO SEE 'We didn't like what Dhoni did' The teenager ran through the star-studded Indian batting line-up with 5 wickets for 50 runs as the visitors were bowled out for 228 in 46 overs in pursuit of 308. After starting off as a batsman playing with tennis ball, he took to fast bowling only to become the second Bangladesh bowler to claim five-for on debut.

#* FACEBOOK’S NEW AI CAN PAINT, BUT GOOGLE’S KNOWS HOW TO PARTY

FACEBOOK AND GOOGLE are building enormous neural networks—artificial brains—that can instantly recognize faces, cars, buildings, and other objects in digital photos. But that’s not all these brains can do.They can recognize the spoken word, translate from one language to another, target ads, or teach a robot to screw a cap onto a bottle. And if you turn these brains upside down, you can teach them not just to recognize images, but create images—in rather intriguing (and sometimes disturbing) ways.As it revealed on Friday, Facebook is teaching its neural networks to automatically create small images of things like airplanes, automobiles, and animals, and about 40 percent of the time, these images can fool us humans into believing we’re looking at reality. “The model can tell the difference between an unnatural image—white noise you’d see on your TV or some sort of abstract art image—and an image that you would take on your camera,” says Facebook artificial intelligence researcher Rob Fergus. “It understands the structure of how images work” (see images above).

Sandeep Aggarwal, the brain behind online marketplace ShopClues, is a more mature, energetic and determined entrepreneur now compared to what he was 20 months ago.Aggarwal, who had pleaded guilty in 2013 to an insider trading charge in his previous job as an analyst at Collins Stewart in the US, is now building his second venture Droom, which is an online marketplace for automobiles. Besides sales of old and new vehicles, it is also a platform for providers of services such as washing and maintenance.Aggarwal had admitted that he had tipped a portfolio manager about a pending deal between Yahoo! and Microsoft in 2009, while he was working at Collins Stewart as an analyst. The case is still open. “I had to go through trauma during the trial period for the insider trading case. I have learnt to compartmentalise my life and ensure that ShopClues is not affected,” said Aggarwal, who is still the single largest shareholder in the Delhi-based company. Though he doesn’t hold any position in the company now, for Aggarwal it is his “first baby” and he provides informal mentorship regularly.

The sound of missiles and responding anti-aircraft gunfire fills the thin, dusty air in this ancient city, perched 2,300m high on top of red, jagged peaks.A Saudi-led coalition of countries is trying to rout rebel fighters known as Houthis from cities across the country, with an intensive bombing campaign. The Houthis are an armed movement based in Yemen’s rugged northern mountains, along the border with Saudi Arabia. Mirpur, Jun 19 (PTI) India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Bangladesh fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman were today fined 75 and 50 per cent of their match fees respectively after being found guilty of breaching the ICC Code of Conduct during the first One-Day International here. The two players were found to have breached Article 2.2.4 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, which relates to "Inappropriate and deliberate physical contact between Players in the course of play during an International Match" yesterday. Both the players pleaded not guilty to the charge and as such, a hearing was held today by match referee Andy Pycroft in which television footage was used. Apart from the match officials, both the players and their managers attended the hearing. The incident happened in the 25th over of India innings when Dhoni made a physical contact with debutant Mustafizur Rahman while running a single. Following the contact, the left-arm fast bowler left the field and Nasir Hossain bowled the remaining four deliveries to complete the over.Pycroft said: "In the hearing, Dhoni defended the charge on the basis that the bowler was on the wrong line and realising that he couldn't avoid the collision, he used his hand and arm to push him away as he went through to 'minimise the impact'.
