ISRO today launched its third navigation satellite IRNSS 1C\r\non board its PSLV rocket from here in the wee hours, moving closer to setting\r\nup its own navigation system on par with the GPS of the US. IRNSS 1C is part of\r\nthe series of seven satellites Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is\r\nplanning to launch to put in place what is called the Indian Regional\r\nNavigation Satellite System. Ghosh, Professor,\r\nQuantitative Methods and  Information\r\nSystems Area at IIMB, has been appointed as member of the Data Privacy Advisory\r\nGroup of Global Pulse - the UN Secretary-Generals Big Data innovation\r\ninitiative, the institute said in a release on 11th October 2014.

PM launches Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana(11/10/2014)

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, today launched the\r\nSaansad Adarsh Gram Yojana, calling it a scheme that would open the door for\r\ngood politics, and inviting all MPs to select a village to develop on a\r\ndemand-driven, rather than a supply-driven model, with peoples participation.\r\nThe Prime Minister said that development in villages was often supply-oriented.\r\nThe Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana, would however have three distinct features - it\r\nwould be (a) demand driven (b) inspired by society (c) based on peoples\r\nparticipation.
