1. In exercise of the powers conferred by clause - 2 of article 124 of the Constitution of India, the President has appointed Justice Tirath Singh Thakur, Judge of the Supreme Court, to be the Chief Justice of India with effect from 3rd December, 2015. His tenure will be till 3rd January, 2017. Justice Tirath Singh Thakur will succeed present Chief Justice of India H.L. Dattu.

भारत के संविधान के अनुच्‍छेद-124 की उप धारा-2 में व्‍यक्‍त शक्तियों का प्रयोग करते हुए राष्‍ट्रपति ने सुप्रीम कोर्ट के न्यायाधीश तीरथ सिंह ठाकुर को 3 दिसम्‍बर, 2015 के प्रभाव से भारत का मुख्‍य न्‍यायाधीश नियुक्‍त किया है। उनका कार्यकाल 3 जनवरी 2017 तक का होगा। न्यायमूर्ति तीरथ सिंह ठाकुर भारत के वर्तमान मुख्य न्यायाधीश एच.एल. दत्तू का स्थान लेंगे।

2. Two Indian-origin businessmen have been ranked by Forbes magazine among the richest entrepreneurs in America under the age of 40, a list that has been topped by Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg who's net worth is $400 million. Vivek Ramaswamy, 30, has been ranked 33rd on the list with a net worth of $500 million. On the 40th spot is 29-year old Apoorva Mehta, the founder and CEO of Instacart, the web-based grocery delivery service.

फोर्ब्स पत्रिका की अमेरिका में 40 साल से कम उम्र के सबसे अमीर उद्यमियों की सूची में भारतीय मूल के दो उद्योगपति शामिल हैं। इस सूची में 47.1 अरब डालर की संपत्ति के साथ शीर्ष पर फेसबुक के मुख्य कार्यकारी मार्क जुकरबर्ग हैं। इस सूची में शामिल 30 साल के विवेक रामास्वामी 33वें स्थान पर हैं जिनकी निवल संपत्ति 50 करोड़ डालर है। इनके अलावा 40वें स्थान पर 29 साल के अपूर्व मेहता हैं जिन्होंने इंस्टाकार्ट की स्थापना की जो वेब आधारित किराने के सामान की आपूर्ति की सेवा प्रदान करती है। मेहता की निवल संपत्ति 40 करोड़ डालर है।

3. Bollywood actors Juhi Chawla and Nawazuddin Siddiqui are among seven prominent personalities from different fields named for the prestigious Indira Gandhi Memorial Award 2015. The other awardees include international athlete Kavita Raut; first woman editor of a Marathi daily Punyanagri, Rahi Bhide; author Kavita Mahajan; academician Farida Lambay and industrialist Megha Phansalkar.

4. China announced to give $1.25 million to the government of Ghana for water-related projects. Under it, out of 10 administrative regions of Ghana six will be provided 1,000 boreholes. Sun Baohong, China's ambassador in Ghana and Seth Terkpr, Ghana's Finance Minister signed an agreement for this purpose.

चीन ने घाना में पानी से संबंधित परियोजनाओं के लिए वहां की सरकार को 1.25 करोड़ डॉलर प्रदान करने की घोषणा की है। इसके तहत घाना के 10 प्रशासनिक क्षेत्रों में से छह में 1,000 बोरहोल की व्यवस्था की जाएगी। घाना में चीन की राजदूत सुन बाओहोंग और घाना के वित्त मंत्री सेथ तेर्कपर ने इसके लिए एक करार पर हस्ताक्षर किए।

5. Indian hockey team vice-captain and goalkeeper P.R. Sreejesh was given the Lt. Col. G.V. Raja Award for 2014-2015 by the Kerala Sports Council along with a cash reward of Rs. 3 lakh in Thiruvananthapuram. It is the highest honour for any athlete in Kerala.

भारतीय पुरूष हॉकी टीम के उपकप्तान एवं गोलकीपर पी.आर. श्रीजेश को केरल खेल परिषद ने तिरुवनंतपुरम में वर्ष 2014-15 के लिए प्रतिष्ठित लेफ्टिनेंट कर्नल जी.वी. राजा अवार्ड से सम्मानित किया है। पुरस्कार के साथ उनको 3 लाख रुपए भी प्रदान किए गए। यह केरल में किसी भी खिलाड़ी के लिए सर्वोच्च सम्मान है।

6. Tata Steel’s first integrated plant in India since the iconic plant in Jamshedpur has been established in Kalinganagar in Odisha’s Jajpur district. The Kalinganagar Steel Plant was inaugurated by Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. The plant would add 3 million tonnes per annum capacity in the first phase and a total 6 MTPA with completion of the second phase.

टाटा स्टील ने ओडीशा के जाजपुर जिले के कलिंगनगर में नवीनतम एकीकृत इस्पात संयंत्र स्थापित किया। कलिंगनगर इस्पात संयंत्र का उद्घाटन ओडीशा के मुख्यमंत्री नवीन पटनायक ने किया। यह संयंत्र 100 साल से अधिक समय पहले खोले गए जमशेदपुर स्थित इस्पात संयंत्र के बाद टाटा स्टील द्वारा देश में खोला गया पहला एकीकृत इस्पात संयंत्र है। इस संयंत्र में पहले चरण में 30 लाख टन इस्पात का उत्पादन प्रति वर्ष किया जायेगा जबकि दूसरे चरण में इसकी उत्पादन क्षमता 60 लाख टन की होगी।

7. The Union Cabinet chaired by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given its ex post facto approval for the Memorandum of Understanding between India and Germany on Security Cooperation. The MoU would further strengthen the relationship between India and Germany for building peace and stability in the region through exchange of information, expertise, best practices and technology.

प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्‍द्र मोदी की अध्‍यक्षता में केंद्रीय मंत्रिमंडल ने भारत और जर्मनी के बीच सुरक्षा सहयोग पर सहमति ज्ञापन पर हुए हस्ताक्षर को मंजूरी दे दी। सहमति ज्ञापन से क्षेत्र में स्थिरता कायम करने के लिए सूचना, विशेषज्ञता, श्रेष्‍ठ व्‍यवहारों तथा टैक्‍नोलॉजी के आदान-प्रदान से भारत और जर्मनी के संबंधों में मंजूरी मिलेगी।

8. The Union Cabinet chaired by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given its approval for the protocol amending the agreement between India and Kuwait for the avoidance of double taxation and the prevention of fiscal evasion with respect to taxes on income.

प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्‍द्र मोदी की अध्‍यक्षता में केन्‍द्रीय मंत्रिमंडल ने दोहरा कराधान टालने और आय पर टैक्स मामले में वित्तीय चोरी रोकने के लिए भारत और कुवैत के बीच हुए समझौते में संशोधन के प्रोटोकोल को मंजूरी दे दी है।

The Union Cabinet chaired by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved the signing of the Tripartite Agreement among India, Brazil and South Africa (IBSA), on the IBSA Fund for the Alleviation of Poverty and Hunger. The decision will help in strengthening the IBSA Fund which is a unique vehicle in the context of South-South cooperation. The IBSA countries contribute US$ 1 million each annually to the Fund, which till January 2015 has accumulated to US$ 28.2 million, with total implemented/approved projects commitment of US$ 26.2 million, and remaining US$ 2.09 million available for programming. India on its part has contributed US$ 9.1 million so far to the Fund.

प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी की अध्यक्षता में केंद्रीय मंत्रिमंडल ने भारत, ब्राज़ील एवं दक्षिण अफ्रीका (इब्सा) के बीच निर्धनता एवं क्षुधा उपशमन हेतु त्रिपक्षीय समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर करने को अनुमति प्रदान कर दी है। इस निर्णय से दक्षिण-दक्षिण सहयोग के क्षेत्र में अद्वितीय इब्सा कोष को मज़बूत बनाने में मदद मिलेगी। इब्सा देश इस कोष में सालाना 1 मिलियन अमेरिकी डॉलर देते हैं, जो जनवरी 2015 तक 28.2 मिलियन अमेरिकी डॉलर हो चुका है। भारत अब तक इस कोष में 9.1 मिलियन अमेरिकी डॉलर दे चुका है।

10. The Badminton World Federation has become a member of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) at its 17th General Assembly.
