1. India will host the next multilateral meeting on Afghanistan, the 'Heart of Asia' conference, in the last quarter of 2016. This year Heart of Asia conference is organised in Islamabad, Pakistan. The aim of this conference is to coordinate the efforts of the countries in the region to support Afghanistan in achieving peace and stability.

भारत 2016 की आखिरी तिमाही में अफगानिस्तान पर बहुपक्षीय सम्मेलन, 'हार्ट ऑफ एशिया' सम्मेलन, की मेजबानी करेगा। इस वर्ष 'हार्ट ऑफ एशिया' सम्मेलन इस्लामाबाद, पाकिस्तान में आयोजित किया गया है। इस सम्मेलन का उद्देश्य है कि अफगानिस्तान को शांति एवं स्थिरता हासिल करने में इस क्षेत्र के देशों की मदद करने के प्रयासों में समन्वय बिठाया जाए।

2. Professor U. Ramamurty of the Indian Institute of Science has bagged the 2015 Third World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) prize, which carries a cash prize of $15,000, in the engineering category.

भारतीय विज्ञान संस्थान के प्रोफेसर यू. रामामुर्ती को इंजीनियरिंग श्रेणी में वर्ष 2015 के तीसरे वर्ल्ड अकैडमी ऑफ साइंसेज (टीडब्ल्यूएएस) पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया गया है। इस पुरस्कार के तहत 15,000 डॉलर का नकद पुरस्कार दिया जाता है।

3. India ranks fourth in black money outflows with a whopping USD 51 billion siphoned out of the country per annum between 2004-2013, according to the annual report released by Global Financial Integrity (GFI), a Washington-based research and advisory organisation. China tops the list with USD 139 billion average outflow of illicit finances per annum, followed by Russia (USD 104 billion per annum) and Mexico (USD 52.8 billion per annum).

वाशिंगटन स्थित अनुसंधान एवं सलाहकार संस्थान ग्लोबल फिनांशल इंटेग्रिटी (जीएफआई) द्वारा जारी वार्षिक रिपोर्ट के अनुसार, भारत कालाधन विदेश में जमा करने के मामले में चौथे स्थान पर है। इस रिपोर्ट के अनुसार, वर्ष 2004 से वर्ष 2013 के बीच देश से 51 अरब डालर सालाना बाहर ले जाया गया। चीन सालाना 139 अरब डालर की कालाधन निकासी के साथ इस सूची में शीर्ष पर है जिसके बाद रूस (104 अरब डालर सालाना) और मेक्सिको (52.8 अरब डालर सालाना) का स्थान है।

4. India's Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a leading global IT services and consultancy company, bagged four awards in the European Software Testing Awards, 2015. The awards were organised by TEST Magazine, the UK's leading software testing magazine. These four awards are: The Best Agile Project award, The Best Mobile Project award, Testing Innovator of the Year award and The Leading Vendor award.

सूचना तकनीक क्षेत्र में सेवाएं एवं सलाह देने वाली अग्रणी भारतीय कंपनी टाटा कंसल्टेंसी सर्विसेज (टीसीएस) ने यूरोपियन सॉफ्टवेयर टेस्टिंग अवॉर्ड, 2015 में चार अवॉर्ड प्राप्त किए। ब्रिटेन की अग्रणी सॉफ्टवेयर टेस्टिंग मैगजीन टेस्ट द्वारा यह पुरस्कार आयोजित किए गए थे। ये चार पुरस्कार हैं--द बेस्ट एजिल प्रोजेक्ट अवॉर्ड, द बेस्ट मोबाइल प्रोजेक्ट अवॉर्ड, टेस्टिंग इनोवेटर ऑफ द ईयर अवॉर्ड और द लीडिंग वेंडर अवॉर्ड।

5. Indian Parliament passed Negotiable Instruments (Amendment) Bill, 2015 that permits the filing of cases at the place where a cheque is presented for clearance and not the place of issue in cases pertaining to cheque bouncing. The bill seeks to overturn a Supreme Court ruling which said cases have to be initiated where the cheque-issuing bank branch is located.

भारतीय संसद ने परक्राम्य लिखत (संशोधन) विधेयक, 2015 पारित कर दिया है जिसके तहत चेक बाउंस होने के मामलों में जिस स्थान से चेक जारी किया गया है उसके बजाए अब मुकदमा वहाँ दर्ज किया जा सकेगा जहाँ चेक भुगतान के लिए प्रस्तुत किया गया है। इस विधेयक के द्वारा सर्वोच्च न्यायालय के उस निर्णय को पलटा जा रहा है जिसमें कहा गया था कि चेक बाउंस होने के मामलों में मुकदमा वहीं दायर किया जा सकता है जहाँ चेक जारी करने वाली बैंक शाखा स्थित है।

6. USS Zumwalt headed out to sea for the first time. USS Zumwalt is the name of the newest and the largest destroyer ship ever made for the U.S. Navy. It is 183 meter tall and weighs almost 15,000 tons. USS Zumwalt is named after former US naval officer Elmo Russell Zumwalt, Jr. The huge ship is a guided missile destroyer having incredible stealth capabilities.

7. Democratic Unity Roundtable won the National Assembly elections with a comfortable majority in Venezuela. This overturned the nearly two decades of dominance of the ruling Socialists. The opposition Democratic Unity Roundtable won 112 of the total 167 seats in Venezuelan National Assembly, while President Nicolás Maduro’s ruling PSUV got just 55 seats.

डेमोक्रेटिक यूनिटी राउण्डटेबल ने वेनेजुएला में भारी बहुमत हासिल करके नेशनल एसेम्बली के लिए हुए चुनाव जीते। इसके चलते देश में लगभग दो दशक से चल रहा सत्ताधारी सोशिलिस्ट पार्टी का वर्चस्व समाप्त हो गया। देश की नेशनल एसेम्बली की 167 सीटों के लिए हुए चुनाव में विपक्षी डेमोक्रेटिक यूनिटी राउण्डटेबल ने 112 सीटें जीतकर प्रचण्ड बहुमत हासिल किया जबकि राष्ट्रपति निकोलस मडुरो के सत्ताधारी दल पीएसयूवी को मात्र 55 सीटें हासिल हुईं।

8. Pune and Rajkot became the interim franchises in the Indian Premier League (IPL) till 2017. These teams will take place of the suspended teams of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Rajasthan Royals (RR). Supreme Court suspended CSK and RR till 2017 following the 2013 IPL corruption scandal.

वर्ष 2017 तक इंडियन प्रीमियर लीग (आईपीएल) में पुणे एवं राजकोट अंतरिम फ्रैंचाइज़ी बन गए हैं। यह टीमें निलंबित की गयी चेन्नई सुपर किंग्स (सीएसके) एवं राजस्थान रॉयल्स (आरआर) के स्थान पर चयनित की गयी हैं। सीएसके एवं आरआर को सुप्रीम कोर्ट द्वारा वर्ष 2013 के भ्रष्टाचार मामले में लिप्त पाए जाने पर वर्ष 2017 तक निलंबित कर दिया गया था।

9. Ajinkya Rahane has become India’s highest-ranked Test batsman in the latest ICC Test Player Rankings who has stormed up 14 places to claim a career-high 12th position. In doing so, Rahane has leapfrogged Virat Kohli (up by two places to 14th).

भारतीय बल्‍लेबाज अजिंक्य रहाणे आईसीसी की नवीनतम टेस्ट प्लेयर रैंकिंग में भारत के सर्वोच्च रैंकिंग वाले टेस्ट बल्लेबाज बन गए हैं, जिन्होंने 14 पायदान की छलांग लगाई। वह 12वें स्थान पर हैं जो उनके कैरियर का सर्वश्रेष्ठ प्रदर्शन है। वहीं, कप्तान विराट कोहली जो दो पायदान चढ़कर 14वें स्थान पर हैं, को अजिंक्य रहाणे ने पीछे छोड़ दिया।

10. Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar visited the US Pacific Command headquarters in Hawaii, in order to deepen military ties between the two strategic partners. Hence, he became the first-ever Indian Defence Minister to visit the key center.
