1. Prakash Kumar Singh has taken charge as Chairman of Steel Authority of India (SAIL). Prior to this assignment, 57 year old Singh was the chief executive officer of SAIL's Durgapur unit, a position he took over in 2012.

प्रकाश कुमार सिंह ने भारतीय इस्पात प्राधिकरण (सेल) के अध्यक्ष के रूप में कार्यभार संम्भाल लिया है। 57 वर्षीय सिंह इससे पहले सेल की दुर्गापुर इकाई में वर्ष 2012 से बतौर मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी कार्यरत थे।

2. Jamaludeen Mohamed Sali, a 76-year-old Indian-origin writer whose 57 books are read in universities has been declared as the winner of this year's prestigious South East Asia Write Award. Better known as J.M. Sali, he has been writing for over 50 years. The author has written 57 books, 80 plays and more than 400 short stories.

3. Mumbai Police Commissioner Ahmad Javed was appointed as India's next Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, six months after last Ambassador Hamid Ali Rao had retired. Javed is expected to take charge after his retirement next January.

4. India's young cycling sensation Deborah Herold has become the first female cyclist from the country to reach the heights of fourth place in the UCI individual world ranking.

5. Former New Zealand Test wicketkeeper Kruger van Wyk announced his retirement from all forms of cricket. Kruger has played nine Test matches for New Zealand in which he scored 341 runs in its 17 innings .

न्यूजीलैंड के पूर्व टेस्ट विकेटकीपर क्रूगर वैन वाइक ने क्रिकेट के सभी प्रारूपों से संन्यास की घोषणा की। क्रूगर ने न्यूजीलैंड की ओर से नौ टेस्ट मैच खेले हैं जिसकी 17 पारियों में उन्होंने 341 रन बनाये।

6. In an important decision, the Competition Appellate Tribunal (CAT) quashed the Rs. 6,316.59 crore penalty imposed on 11 cement firms by the Competition Commission of India (CCI). The CCI had passed the orders after an investigation into complaints, against alleged price cartelisation among cement firms. On 20 June 2012, the CCI imposed a heavy penalty of Rs. 6,316.59 crore on these 11 cement companies.

एक महत्वपूर्ण निर्णय में प्रतिस्पर्धा अपीलीय न्यायाधीकरण (सीएटी) ने देश की 11 सीमेण्ट कम्पनियों पर भारतीय प्रतिस्पर्धा आयोग (सीसीआई) द्वारा लगाए गए 6,316.59 करोड़ रुपए के भारी जुर्माने को निरस्त कर दिया है। इन कम्पनियों पर आरोप था कि वे आपस में मिलकर सीमेण्ट के मूल्यों को नियंत्रित करने के लिए कार्टल बनाने में लिप्त थे। 20 जून 2012 को सीसीआई ने इन 11 सीमेण्ट कम्पनियों पर 6,316.59 करोड़ रुपए का भारी जुर्माना लगाया था।

7. The U.S. Administration updated its technology transfer policy associated with Gas-turbine engine technology transfer agreement, a major defence cooperation agreement with India. This will help India in developing this technology in India. This was done during India's Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar's US visit.

अमेरिकी प्रशासन ने भारत के साथ रक्षा क्षेत्र में सहयोग हेतु प्रौद्यौगिकी हस्तांतरण नीति से संबद्ध एक प्रमुख समझौते गैस टर्बाइन इंजन प्रौद्यौगिकी हस्तांतरण समझौते की धाराओं में सुधार कर दिया है, जिससे भारत को इस अहम प्रौद्यौगिकी के भारत में विकास करने में मदद मिलेगी। यह भारत के रक्षा मंत्री मनोहर पर्रिकर की अमेरिका यात्रा के दौरान किया गया।

8. Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the autobiography of Nationalist Congress Party founder Sharad Pawar -- “On My Terms: From the Grassroots to the Corridors of Power”. Through this autobiographical book, Pawar offers the inside story of numerous political events in which he was involved.

प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी ने राष्ट्रवादी कांग्रेस पार्टी के प्रमुख शरद पवार की आत्मकथा “ऑन माई टर्म्स : फ्रॉम द ग्रासरूट्स टू द कॉरीडोर्स ऑफ पॉवर” का विमोचन किया। इस आत्मकथात्मक पुस्तक के माध्यम से पवार ने राजनीति पर प्रभाव डालने वाली उन तमाम राजनीतिक घटनाओं का उल्लेख किया है जिनसे शरद पवार का जुड़ाव था।

9. Pakistan successfully test-fired the medium-range Shaheen-III surface-to-surface ballistic missile which can carry nuclear warheads up to 2,750 kms bringing many Indian cities within its range.

पाकिस्तान ने सतह-से-सतह पर मार करने वाली मध्यम दूरी की शाहीन तृतीय बैलेस्टिक मिसाइल का सफल परीक्षण किया, जो 2,750 किलोमीटर की दूरी तक परमाणु आयुध ले जा सकती है। उसके दायरे में कई भारतीय शहर आ सकते हैं।

10. Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan acquired the No. 1 position in the 2015 Forbes India Celebrity 100 list, with a whopping Rs. 257.5 crore earnings. With Rs. 202.75 crore earnings Salman Khan has acquired second rank in the list. Salman was followed by megastar Amitabh Bachchan (Rs.112.00 crore). Indian cricket ODI captain, Mahendra Singh Dhoni maintained his position at No. 4 in the list.
