1. India and Japan signed 16 agreements in the fields of high-speed trains, defence equipment and technology, security, infrastructure, education and economy including civil nuclear energy, etc. Japan committed $12-billion loan at negligible interest for the India's first "Bullet Train". The agreements were signed after the delegation-level talks between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and visiting Japanese Prime MInister Shinzo Abe.

भारत और जापान ने असैन्य परमाणु ऊर्जा सहित हाई स्पीड ट्रेनों, रक्षा उपकरणों और प्रौद्योगिकी, सुरक्षा, बुनियादी सुविधाओं, शिक्षा और अर्थव्यवस्था, आदि के क्षेत्रों में 16 समझौतों पर हस्ताक्षर किए। जापान ने भारत की पहली "बुलेट ट्रेन" के लिए नगण्य ब्याज पर 12 अरब डॉलर का ऋण प्रदान करने की प्रतिबद्धता जताई। समझौतों पर प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी और भारत यात्रा पर आए जापान के प्रधानमंत्री शिंजो आबे के बीच प्रतिनिधिमंडल स्तर की वार्ता के बाद हस्ताक्षर किए गए।

2. India’s Vice-President Hamid Ansari, Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Afghan President Ashraf Ghani and Turkmenistan President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow laid the foundation of the $7.6 billion and 1800-kilometre TAPI pipeline project in Mary, Turkmenistan, which will provide India gas for its power plants. They pushed a button which started the welding process of pipes. This pipeline will get operational by December 2019.

भारत के उपराष्ट्रपति हामिद अंसारी, पाकिस्तान के प्रधानमंत्री नवाज शरीफ, अफगानिस्तान के राष्ट्रपति अशरफ गनी और तुर्कमेनिस्तान के राष्ट्रपति गूरबानगूली बैरदिमुहामेदोव ने 7.6 अरब डॉलर तथा 1800 किलोमीटर की तापी पाइपलाइन परियोजना की आधारशिला मेरी, तुर्कमेनिस्तान में रखी, जो भारत को उसकी ऊर्जा परियोजनाओं के लिए गैस प्रदान करेगी। उन्होंने एक बटन दबाया जिससे पाइपों की वेल्डिंग की प्रक्रिया शुरू हो गयी। यह पाइपलाइन दिसंबर 2019 तक चालू हो जाएगी।

3. Muniba Mazari (disabled from both legs) has become Pakistan’s first female UN Goodwill Ambassador. ‘UN Women’, the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women appointed her on this post to advance gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls.

मुनिबा मजारी (दोनों पैरों से निःशक्त) पाकिस्तान की पहली संयुक्त राष्ट्र सद्भावना दूत बन गई हैं। महिला सशक्तिकरण और लैंगिक समानता के लिए काम करने वाली संयुक्त राष्ट्र की इकाई ‘यूएन वोमन’ ने उन्हें लैंगिक समानता के कार्य को आगे बढाने और महिलाओं तथा बालिकाओं के सशक्तिकरण के लिए इस पद पर नियुक्त किया है।

4. Kerala’s Elizabeth Susan Koshy won the Women's 50m Rifle 3 Positions Gold at the 59th National Shooting Championships held at the Dr. Karni Singh Shooting range in New Delhi. Haryana’s Anjum Moudgil won the silver medal and Gaayathri N of Tamil Nadu fetched the bronze in the championship.

केरल की एलिज़ाबेथ सुसान कोशी ने नई दिल्ली स्थित डॉ. करणी सिंह शूटिंग रेंज में आयोजित 59वीं राष्ट्रीय शूटिंग चैंपियनशिप में महिलाओं की 50 मीटर राइफल 3 पोजीशन में स्वर्ण पदक जीता। इसी प्रतिस्पर्धा में हरियाणा की अंजुम मोदगिल ने रजत पदक प्राप्त किया तथा तमिलनाडु की गायत्री एन ने कांस्य पदक जीता।

5. A historic climate agreement was adopted unanimously at the UN Climate Change Summit (COP21) in Paris with 196 countries adopting a goal of “well below 2 degrees C” for temperature rise, and instituting a regime of financing of developing economies to help make the transition. The agreement is scheduled to go into effect from 2020 while first global evaluation of the implementation of the agreement is to take place in 2023, and thereafter every five years to help all countries.

पेरिस में आयोजित संयुक्त राष्ट्र जलवायु सम्मेलन (सीओपी21) में विश्व के 196 देशों ने एक ऐतिहासिक समझौते के मसौदे को अपनी स्वीकृति प्रदान कर दी जिसके अनुसार सभी देश वैश्विक तापमान वृद्धि को 2 डिग्री से काफी कम रखने पर अपना योगदान देने पर राजी हो गए। समझौते में एक अहम व्यवस्था यह की गई है कि विकासशील देशों को पर्यावरण संकट से निपटने के प्रयासों के लिए आर्थिक सहायता प्रदान की जायेगी। इस समझौते को वर्ष 2020 में प्रभाव में लाया जायेगा जबकि इसके क्रियान्वयन के तीन वर्ष बाद वर्ष 2023 में इसकी पहली वैश्विक समीक्षा की जायेगी। इसके बाद प्रत्येक पाँच वर्ष में यह समीक्षा की जायेगी।

6. Gambian President Yahya Jammeh declared his Muslim-majority country an Islamic republic. 90% of Population of Gambia is Muslim.

गांबिया के राष्ट्रपति याह्या जामेह ने अपने मुस्लिम-बहुल देश को एक इस्लामी गणराज्य के रूप में घोषित किया। गांबिया की 90% जनसंख्या मुस्लिम है।

7. Noted agriculture-economist, politician, journalist and well-known farmer leader Sharad Joshi passed away at the age of 81 in Pune. He had founded ‘Shetkari Sanghatana’-famous farmer’s organisation in Maharashtra.

कृषि-अर्थशास्त्री, राजनीतिज्ञ, पत्रकार तथा प्रसिद्ध किसान नेता शरद जोशी का 81 वर्ष की आयु में पुणे में निधन हो गया। उन्होंने महाराष्ट्र में किसानों के प्रसिद्ध संगठन “शेतकारी संगठना” की स्थापना की थी।

8. India announced to impose anti-dumping duties for five years on imports of Stainless Steel from China, the European Union and the United States with the objective of protecting the interests of local producers. Imports from South Korea, South Africa, Taiwan and Thailand will also be taxed. The anti-dumping duties, on cold-rolled flat stainless steel products, ranged from 4.6% to 57.4%.

भारत ने चीन, यूरोपीय संघ और अमेरिका जैसे देशों से होने वाले स्टेनलेस स्टील के आयात पर पाँच सालों के लिए डम्पिंग-रोधी ड्यूटी लगाने की घोषणा की ताकि इस उत्पाद के घरेलू उत्पादकों को राहत प्रदान की जाए। यह आयात-ड्यूटी दक्षिण कोरिया, दक्षिण अफ्रीका, ताइवान और थाईलैण्ड से आयातित स्टेनलेस स्टील पर भी लगाई जायेगी। कोल्ड-रोल्ड फ्लैट स्टेनलेस स्टील पर लगाई गई डम्पिंग-रोधी ड्यूटी की दर 4.6% से 57.4% तक रहेगी।

9. Dilip Kumar, Indian cinema’s one of the greatest actors, was conferred with the Padma Vibhushan, India's second-highest civilian honour. The 93-year-old actor received the award from Home Minister Rajnath Singh at his residence in Mumbai.

भारतीय सिनेमा के महानतम अभिनेताओं में से एक दिलीप कुमार को भारत के दूसरे सबसे बड़े नागरिक सम्मान पद्म विभूषण से सम्मानित किया गया। 93 वर्षीय अभिनेता ने मुंबई में अपने निवास-स्थल पर गृह मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह द्वारा पुरस्कार प्राप्त किया।

10. Olympic medallist Vijay Kumar won the gold medal in the men's 25-metre centre fire pistol event in 59th National Shooting Championship.

ओलिंपिक पदक विजेता विजय कुमार ने 59वीं राष्ट्रीय निशानेबाजी चैंपियनशिप की पुरुषों की 25 मीटर सेंटर फायर पिस्टल स्पर्धा में स्वर्ण पदक जीता।

11. At least 20 women have won seats in Saudi Arabia's municipal polls, the country's first-ever elections open to female voters and candidates. Salma bint Hizab al-Oteibi created history by becoming the first woman elected representative of Saudi Arab by winning the municipal council elections of Madrakah, a region in Mecca.

सऊदी अरब के नगर निगम चुनाव में सीटों पर कम से कम 20 महिलाओं ने जीत हासिल की है। सऊदी अरब के इतिहास में पहली बार महिलाओं ने मतदान दिया है और चुनाव लड़ा है। मक्का शहर के मडराका इलाके से नगर परिषद का चुनाव जीतकर सलमा बिंत हिजाब अल-ओतिबी ने सऊदी अरब की पहली महिला निर्वाचित प्रतिनिधि बनकर इतिहास रच दिया है।
