India, Qatar sign seven agreements to boost bilateral ties
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday held talks with Qatar Emir Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani in Doha, taking forward bilateral ties with an important Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member. India and Qatar signed seven bilateral agreements.

In pushback to US, China says 'has no fear of trouble' in South China Sea
China rebuffed US pressure to curb its activity in the South China Sea on Sunday, restating its sovereignty over most of the disputed territory and saying it "has no fear of trouble". On the last day of Asia's biggest security summit, Admiral Sun Jianguo said China will not be bullied, including over a pending international court ruling over its claims in the vital trade route. "We do not make trouble, but we have no fear of trouble," Sun told the Shangri-La Dialogue in Singapore, where more than 600 security, military and government delegates had gathered over three days.

India's admission into NSG may figure in China-US talks
Amid deepening divisions over the disputed South China Sea, China and US will hold their high level annual Strategic and Economic Dialogue here tomorrow during which a host of issues including differences over India's entry into the NSG are expected to be discussed. Billed as the most comprehensive dialogue between the world's two largest economies, it will be attended by top officials from both sides, including US Secretary of State John Kerry.

Adani may abandon Australian coal mine project
Bogged by a six-year delay, Adani may pull out from the proposed $21.5 billion rail and mine project in Australia amid a series of legal challenges from environmental groups against the Indian energy giant’s plans to build one of the world’s largest coal mines. Stating that he was “disappointed”, the company’s founder and chairman Gautam Adani told The Australian newspaper that the “pit to plug” project was yet to receive the green light after six years of environmental assessments and court “You can’t continue just holding. I have been really disappointed that things have got too delayed,” Mr. Adani said.

At 11 am on a Wednesday in April, an anxious Rahul Gupta logged into his mobile chat from Amravati, Maharashtra. The first person to ping the 21-year-old was his coach. Gupta, who is preparing for the Common Admission Test, knew why: he had underperformed in a mock test. "I saw that you just completed an exercise in permutations and combination," the coach texted. "You got four questions in the exercise," the coach continued on chat, "and on one question you spent less than 10 seconds. Did you lose your focus or were you over-confident?" Gupta knew there was no point bluffing. "I guessed the answer. I did not understand the concept." Bot—derived from the word robot—is a software that automates the tasks you would usually do on your own. These include booking a cab, making a dinner reservation, fixing an appointment, fetching information, or talking to a customer centre executive. Famous example: Apple's bot Siri, which answers the queries of iPhone and iPad users. The most common of all bots is the chatbot, hich mimics or simulates conversation using artificial intelligence. This is what the bot at Prepathon was doing. Allwin Agnel, founder of Prepathon, first thought of bots when he realised that the amount of repetitive work done by his teachers or coaches was stupendous.

Garbine Muguruza wins maiden Grand Slam title
Garbine Muguruza won her first Grand Slam title by beating defending champion Serena Williams 7-5, 6-4 at the French Open on Saturday, denying the American her record-equaling 22nd major trophy. The fourth-seeded Muguruza, a 22-year-old from Spain, used her big groundstrokes to keep No. 1 Williams off-balance and overcame signs of nerves in the form of nine double-faults to pull off the surprise. Muguruza also managed to deal with Williams’ dangerous serve, breaking three consecutive times from late in the first set to early in the second.

India's Seema Tomar records her second best, finishes fifth at International Shooting Sport Federation World Cup
India's trap shooter Seema Tomar recorded her second best finish in a World Cup ever as she came fifth in the Women's Trap event on day one at the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) World Cup for Shotgun, which got underway in the tiny European republic of San Marino. The former World Cup silver medallist shot a terrific 72 out of 75, which was her best qualification score in a World Cup, to be one of six women to reach the final rounds. Seema's score was second best and only one less than Emma Elizabeth Cox's 73. While Seema could not then qualify for the medal matches and bowed out in fifth position, the Australian Emma eventually landed the Gold medal.

The fascinating discovery was made by camera trapping over a vast area of 5,800 sq. Km (square kilometre ) in extremely rugged terrain of the Satpura Hill Range and the Kanha-Pench Corridor in Madhya Pradesh done by forest department in collaboration with NGO Wildlife Conservation Trust (WCT).

World's Space Agencies Unite to Face Climate Challenge.
For the first time, under the impetus of Isro and the French Space Agency (CNES), space agencies of over 60 countries have agreed to engage their satellites, to coordinate their methods and their data to monitor human-induced greenhouse gas emissions. The COP21 climate conference held in Paris last December acted as a wake-up call in this context, according to a statement released by Isro Bengaluru. Without satellites, the reality of global warming would not have been recognised and the subsequent historic agreement at the UN headquarters in New York on April 22, 2016 would not have been signed, the space agency said.
