#* Lalit Modi controversy: Evidence shows Swaraj broke diplomatic protocol to help him

Despite the calls for the Prime Minister to sack her, Sushma Swaraj remains the External Affairs Minister as she continues to face flak for allegedly aiding former IPL chief Lalit Modi get travel documents to travel outside UK.The BJP and Swaraj's defence has hinged on the fact that all she did was discharge her duties and attempt to act in a humanitarian manner, Lalit Modi's lawyer on Monday also lauded the minister saying that his client had always been in compliance with British laws.

#* Indian Exports continue to worry; down for 6th straight month

India's exports in the month of May 2015 stood at $22.34 billion, lower by nearly a fifth as against the same month last year. This is also the sixth consecutive month of fall in India's exports to the world. Imports, too, fell but at a lower pace of 16.52%. According to the data made available by Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Indian imports for the month of May 2015 were recorded at $32.75 billion, lower by nearly 16.5% as against imports of $39.23 billion in May 2014. In rupee terms, imports fell by over 10% on the back of depreciation in the Indian currency. 

 

 

#* IAF Jaguar aircraft crashes near Allahabad, pilots eject

A Jaguar aircraft of Indian Air Force crashed near here Tuesday morning during a training sortie and the two pilots ejected safely, the second such incident this year.The aircraft crashed on a piece of uninhabited land near a warehouse of Food Corporation of India at Naini, about 50 kms from the Indian Air Force’s Central Air Command at Bamrauli on the outskirts of the city from where it had taken off at 7:25 AM.IAF Jaguar crashes near Bhuj, pilot ejects safely MiG-29 crashes in Jamnagar,pilot safe MiG develops snag,crashes in Assam,pilot bails out Police said that there was no casualty or damage to property on land.
The IAF said both the pilots ejected safely at 8.47 AM and a court of inquiry has been ordered into the crash.

#* Indian Railway Tatkal Booking Timings changed From Today

“The change has been effected to facilitate hassle-free booking by reducing the load on the server,” Press Trust of India said, quoting a senior Railway official. “Staggering the timing for AC and non-AC Tatkal tickets will help reducing load at windows and the ticketing sites,” he said. By this decision the Indian Railways will stop all types of ticketing agents including IRCTC agents will now be debarred from booking tickets for 30 minutes from the opening of bookings – from 8 a.m. to 8.30 a.m. for general bookings, from 10 a.m. to 10.30 a.m. for Tatkal AC classes, and from 11 a.m. to 11.30 a.m. for Tatkal non-AC classes, the Railways said in a statement.

Motorola Moto X 1st Gen to get Android 5.1 Lollipop update in a week but Moto X 2nd Gen Lollipop update stuck due to software snag It looks like Moto X (1st Generation) owners will be receiving Android 5.1 Lollipop firmware update through OTA in the next couple of days, while Moto X (2nd Generation) owners may have to wait a little bit longer due to a software snag. Thankfully, the doors for Android 5.1 Lollipop for Motorola’s Moto X (1st Gen) are open and according to Christianity Daily, Moto X  will finally get the taste of the Android 5.1 Lollipop OS update in the next few days.  Motorola’s product manager David Schuster took to Google+  to announce that the soak test for Android 5.1 OS update in Moto X (1st Gen) has begun.

 

 

#* Facebook launches Moments app

The world's biggest social network seems to think that people aren't sharing enough pictures and so has created a new app that helps users to find even more images to post. Called Moments, once installed it will work through a smartphone's entire camera roll and, using Facebook's facial recognition software, grab anything that features what it recognises as an image featuring Facebook friends.The app's default setting is to create a private album that can be used for sharing the discovered image or images simply with those pictured in them.The idea is that the privately shared album grows organically as both people continue to share new photos through it. Facebook Moments is available from Monday for both iOS and Android devices.

 

 

#* Sanjay Dutt applies for parole yet again?

Mumbai: Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt has reportedly applied for a parole once again. Son of late actor-politician Sunil Dutt, Sanjay, is serving is remaining 42-month jail term in Pune’s Yerwada Jail since May 2013. He has apparently applied for a 30-day parole to the divisional commissioner. Reports suggest that senior officials have confirmed the parole application and the request is apparently under process.Brother of politician Priya Dutt, Sanjay returned to jail after being granted furlough.Dutt was sentenced to 5 years imprisonment by the Supreme Court for illegal possession of arms in the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts case.Since he had served 18 months in jail from 2007 to 2008, he was required to complete his remaining jail term.
