The Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOC) on Friday reduced the prices of petrol and diesel by Rs 2.43 per litre and Rs 3.60 per litre respectively. The new rates would be applicable from midnight July 31.\r\n\r\nFollowing the decrease in retail selling price of petroleum products, petrol will now be available in Delhi for Rs. 64.47 per litre while diesel will be available at Rs 46.12 per litre.\r\n\r\nPrices of petrol and diesel were last revised on 16 July, 2015. Since the last price change there has been a decrease in international prices of both petrol and diesel. However, the rupee-dollar exchange rate has depreciated during this period.\r\n\r\nCombined impact of both these factors warrants a downward revision in prices, the impact of which is being passed on to the consumers with this price decrease, a statement from IOC said.
